This facilitates optimal patient care.

Referral centre for haematological disorders

Over the years, patients with haematological disorders have come to us not only from Mumbai but also from various parts of the world. They are clinically assessed by Dr. Antia, investigated in our haematology lab and treated in our day-care service or if the patient needs intensive chemotherapy, they are admitted to the hospital and managed. For chemotherapy, we have the ideal facilities with dedicated doctors and nurses. As a matter of fact, when there was a baffling haematological problem which came to international notice, Dr.Antia was the Indian expert and the case was shot in Mumbai and featured on National Geographic. https://youtu.be/HTmt7sLO7fk

We have a state of the art haematology lab with the most modern equipment, capable of performing the full gamut of haematology tests. Our work load comes from patients admitted in the hospital requiring haematological investigations, OPD patients and most interestingly, a host of haematology cases referred from all over to our haematology clinic run by Dr.Antia. Cases of anaemia, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, bleeding disorders, haematological malignancies, PUO, thrombosis are investigated in our lab. The results are interpreted by the haematologist and conveyed to the referring doctor. We understand the emergency in haematological cases which often present as a medical emergency and we have a very short Turn Around Time(TAT).

We have a strong focus on quality assurance, both Internal Quality Control and External Quality Control. External Quality Control is by EQAS (External Quality Assurance Scheme).
