Endoscopy
The Department of Endoscopy at the Breach Candy Hospital was established in January 2002. The department was initially engaged in doing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures including upper and lower GI scopies. Gradually over the last decade, therapeutic endoscopy, bronchoscopy, ERCP and ultrasound endoscopy have been introduced.
The dept has state of the art Olympus HD equipment with narrow band imaging. The dept is introducing third space endoscopy and endoscopic management of obesity. Several eminent gastroenterologists are a part of this dept.
Several well experienced and eminent consultants service the needs of patients with the help of best in class technology and equipment.
Procedures offered include:
- Upper GI scopy ( including endoscopic variceal ligation, polypectomies, dilatation, stenting )
- Colonoscopy ( polypectomies, dilatation, banding of hemorrhoids , Argon plasma coagulation )
- ERCP
- Endoscopic ultrasound
- Bronchoscopy
- Intragastric balloon placement for obesity
- Third space endoscopy ( EMR/ ESD/POEM )
We offer elective and emergency services at all times, throughout the year.
